This is the Privacy Notice for Resco.NEXT.

This information is intended for participants of Resco.NEXT during the registration phase
followed by participation at online-event.

Participants can be:
• employees, contractors, or any type of representative of Resco’s Partners and/or Resco‘s
Customers, including potential Resco’s Partners/Customers, and
• any other person who registers and takes part in Resco.NEXT event.

We are strongly committed to keeping your personal data safe. This commitment exists
throughout the lifecycle of your personal data, from the design of any Resco service which uses
personal data to the deletion of that data.

We think carefully about our use of personal data. Below you can find the details of what we do
to protect your privacy. This policy covers, among other topics:
• Information about your rights, the choices available to you, and our obligations in the
European Union.
• Transparency about how we collect and use your personal data, including when and how
it is shared.
• Information on how we protect your personal data.
• Information on how we will facilitate your rights and respond to your questions.

1.2 Who are we?

the legal position of Controller.
This means that we are responsible for deciding how and why we hold and use your personal

1.3 About this Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and transfer (i.e., process) your personal
data when you register for Resco.NEXT and you take part in the online event RESCO.NEXT. The Privacy
Notice also explains your data privacy rights.

Personal data is any information about you by which you can be identified or be identifiable. This
can include information such as:
• everything that you provide during your registration: first name and last name, job title,
your (company) e-mail address, country, city, company.
• information about your device (such as the IP address, which is a numerical code to
identify your device that can provide information about the country, region, or city where
you are based).
• information relating to how you use and interact with Resco.NEXT website.
• photograph when you want to be visible at the event.

Resco operates various other sites. As Resco.NEXT participant, you might be using other services

Sometimes, Resco.NEXT website may contain links to sites and services that are not part of the
Resco family of offerings. These sites and services have their own privacy policies. If you follow a
link to non-Resco sites and apps, you should read the privacy policy shown on their site.

1.4 With whom do we share your data?

We engage third party companies who assist us in providing our services and products or support
us with certain functions of these applications.

We process some of your personal data via electronic communication (email). This occurs for
example when you contact us via the links mentioned on Resco.NEXT website via email. Microsoft
(Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA) is our service
provider for Office 356. In this position, Microsoft stores and processes your personal data on
servers within the European Union. You can read Microsoft’s Privacy Statement here.

Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre
Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). We use Google Analytics to understand how users
engage with Resco.NEXT website. If you do not want Google Analytics to be used in your browser,
you can install the ‘Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On’, provided by Google. For more

We use an online event platform named GuestCloud which is operated by Entropia, s.r.o. (Jégeho 7,
821 08 Bratislava). Via this platform we collect your personal data when you are registering for the
event, we use it also for sending our invitation letters as well as newsletters. This platform also
operates the management of the event. For more information on how GuestCloud/Entropia

During the event, we use slido application operated by s.r.o. (Vajnorská 100/A, 831 04
Bratislava) for allowing you to interact with other participants at the online event. Via this
application, we collect questions, poll-answers, ideas, and chats with simple content shared
between you and other participants. More information on the processing of your personal data is
accessible here.

We also share your contact details with Marketo EMEA, Ltd. (EU based) in order to send you
tailored invitation letters to other Resco events and/or Resco newsletters. How Marketo processes

Other participants of Resco.NEXT
If you provide us with your consent to share some of your professional personal data with other
participants of the event of Resco.NEXT, we will share it with them.

1.5 Lawful processing

We will only process your personal data if we have a lawful basis for doing so. Lawful bases for
processing include consent, contractual performance, and our “legitimate interests” as further
described below.

Contract Performance
We process Personal Data as a matter of “contractual necessity”. That means that we need to
process the data to be able to perform register you for Resco.NEXT as well as for your participation (on-line) at the event.

You are not obliged to provide Resco with your personal data. However, a minimum set of
personal data is necessary for your participation in Resco.NEXT. Therefore, not providing specific
personal data may result in your inability to take part in Resco.NEXT.

Legitimate Interest
When we have a business or commercial reason of our own to use your information, this is called
a ‘legitimate interest’. We will tell you what that is if we are going to rely on it as the reason for
using your data. Even then, it must not unfairly go against your interests.

In some cases, we process personal data based on the consent you expressly grant to us. When
we process personal data based on your consent, we indicate the voluntary action to you at the
point and time of collection.

Other Lawful Grounds
From time to time, we may also need to process personal data to comply with a legal obligation,
if it is necessary to protect the vital interests of you or other data subjects, or if it is necessary for
a task carried out in the public interest.

Registration process

Purpose: The purpose is to send you information regarding Resco.NEXT (e.g. timing, program, speakers list, technical information on how to access the event)

How long do we store your data? We will store your data personal data till one month after Resco.NEXT.

Direct Marketing and information/newsletters about Resco.NEXT
Personal Data: First name, last name, company, email, phone, industry, country, job-title, “what’s your experience with RESCO?”, “Topics I’m interested in”
Purpose: We will send you information about Resco products and services. Such information includes webinars, events, updates on RESCO products, Services, subscriber-only deals, and training and educational resources. The information will contain information about the planned Resco.NEXT event.
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest
Resco legitimate interest is increasing its customer base and expanding its business. You can opt-out any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter or by contacting us (see section “How to contact us”).
How long do we store your data? We will store your data personal data till one month after Resco.NEXT.

Cookies and Analytics
Personal Data: We obtain this data by your interaction with Resco.NEXT website.
A cookie is a small file that stores Internet settings. Almost every website uses cookie technology. It is downloaded by your Internet browser on the first visit to Resco.NEXT. The next time Resco.NEXT is opened with the same user device, the cookie and the information stored in it are either sent back to Resco.NEXT website (first-party cookie) or sent to another website it belongs to (third-party cookie).
Some cookies are essential and strictly necessary. It is automatically deleted by your browser as soon as
you log out.
Purpose: Cookies enable Resco.NEXT website to detect that you have opened it previously and to automatically fill in your username into the login field. We also use cookies to generate statistics on the usage of our website using Google Analytics. This helps to improve the Resco.NEXT website content. We do not use cookies, except strictly necessary session cookies, without your prior consent provided via Resco.NEXT Cookie Consent Manager.
How long do we store your data? Our cookies have different expiration dates. Details are described in our Cookie Declaration.

Event Management and Support
Personal Data: Your name and email address and all other information provided by you in emails or calls to Resco employees or via the contact form on Resco.NEXT website.
Purpose: Provide a mechanism to report and solve various kinds of questions and issues related to Resco.NEXT. While we may take notes from calls with you, we never do any recording of voice calls.
Legal Basis: Contract performance
How long do we store your data? We store the email communication and notes from calls until one month after Resco.NEXT.

Participation at Event
Personal Data: photograph or video recording
Purpose: If you wish to be visible for other participants at Resco.NEXT (event) you can download your photograph or turn on your videocamera for video recording.
Legal Basis: Consent. Providing us with your photograph or video is optional for your participation at Resco.NEXT and is based upon your free will to show yourself at the event.
How long do we store your data? These personal data will be processed only during the
event of Resco.NEXT.

Conference networking
Personal Data: First name, last name, photo (if added) job position, company, LinkedIn (if applicable)
Purpose If you wish to network during Resco.NEXT, you can provide us with your consent to share your data with other participants for better networking at the event as well as afterward.
Legal Basis: Consent. Provide us with your consent to share some of your personal data with other participants of Resco.NEXT event is optional.
How long do we store your data? These personal data will be processed only during the event of Resco.NEXT.

Q&A and polling app
Personal Data: questions, ideas, poll answers, chats with other participants
Purpose: To interact with the speakers and/or other participants at Resco.NEXT
Legal Basis: Contract performance
How long do we store your data? These personal data will be processed only during the event of Resco.NEXT.

1.7 International Data Transfers

Your personal data entered during the pre-registration is stored in the Slovak Republic.

Google Analytics
The information generated by the cookies (e.g., your Client ID and your IP address) about your
use of Resco.NEXT is transferred to a Google server in the United States.
We have taken reasonable precautions to protect your personal data. We have configured Google Analytics to pseudonymize your IP address. That means Google will truncate your IP address as soon as they receive it and before it is stored. The IP address identified from your browser by Google Analytics will not be merged with other data collected by Google. Google will use this information to analyze your use of Resco.NEXT website.

1.8 From what sources do we obtain your personal data?

Resco obtains your personal data directly from you.

Personal data generated by us
In relation to our usage of Google analytics, we generate a Client ID. The Client ID identifies
your browser-device pair and can in rare cases be used to identify you. The client ID is generated only in case you have provided explicit consent for the usage of statistical cookies.

1.9 Automated decision making and profiling

Resco.NEXT does NOT make automated decisions nor profiling with legal or similarly significant
effect on you.

1.10 Personal data from Children

Resco.NEXT is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children
under the age of 16 unless (a) we have obtained consent from a parent or guardian, (b) such collection is subject to a separate agreement with us, or (c) the visit by a child under the age of 16 is unsolicited or incidental. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us by using the information in the “How to contact us” section below and we will take steps to delete their personal data from our systems.

1.11 Security of your personal data

We have implemented appropriate technical, organizational, and physical controls to protect your
personal data against unauthorized processing and against accidental loss, damage, or destruction.

You are responsible for choosing a secure password when we ask you to set up a password to access Resco.NEXT. You should keep this password confidential, and you should choose a password that you do not use on any other site. You should not share your password with anyone else, including anyone who works for us.

Please take into account that sending any information, including personal data, via the internet is
not completely secure. Our servers promote secure transport protocols. However, we cannot ultimately guarantee the security of any personal data sent to our site while still in transit, and you provide it at your own risk.

1.12 What are your rights regarding the personal data we hold about you?

You have several rights regarding the personal data that we hold about you and you can contact
us regarding the following rights in relation to your personal data:
• You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• You have the right to correct the personal data we hold about you.
• Where applicable, you may also have a right to receive a machine-readable copy of your personal data.
• You also have the right to ask us to delete your personal data or restrict how it is used, consistent with the GDPR. There may be exceptions to the right to erasure for specific legal reasons which, if applicable, we will set out for you in the response to your request.
• Where applicable, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for certain purposes.
• Where you have provided us with consent to use your personal data, you can withdraw (consent) this at any time.
• If you do not want us to use your personal data for marketing, you can revoke do so by clicking at a link at the bottom of marketing emails.

If you would like to exercise any of your rights specified above, please email
or write to the Data Protection Officer at Resco spol. s r.o. We will deal with your requests within
30 days.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity. If your request is complicated or if you have made many requests, it may take us longer. We will let you know if we need longer than one month to respond. You will not have to pay a fee to obtain a copy of your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive.

Complaints to supervisory authorities

Resco takes your rights very seriously. However, if you are of the opinion that we have not dealt
with your reservations or complaints adequately, you have the right to submit a complaint to the responsible data privacy protection authorities. You can contact the supervisory authority in your country or in Slovakia:
